1870 Construction of Greyview Castle.
The Castle was inspired by a conversation between William Greyview and his wife, who had grown up in Romania in the shadow of a large castle she'd dreamed of living in. Once the plans were drawn, it took four years to complete.
An entire community of craftsmen came together to create this wonder of architecture as well as a rose garden around it.
1874 the Castle is completed in time for Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, the testiment of love that had been spent so long building is open and ready for the family to celebrate the holiday, complete with ornaments and lights.
The finished house contained seven bedrooms, a great hall, kichen, study, and sitting and family room. There are also referneces to many secret passages.
1881 the Conservitory and Grounds are built
To make room for the growing family and Olivia's love of plans, the conservatory is created to house her growing collection of exotic plants.
Extra land was purchased in order to expand the grounds. This land makes up the trails today.
